The 1-2% Gain You Can't Afford to Miss

Hey Cracksters,

The holiday season is closing in, and for most people, that means slowing down as things get busy. But it’s these times in that ‘slow/busy’ period where you can really get a head start for 2026.

Now is the time to keep your head down, stay focussed and build in those small consistent habits around the chaos and relaxation of the Christmas period.

Maybe you’ll have less time for full blown training sessions, but short sharp sessions to keep the body guessing (it could just be a few pull ups or press-ups at home) whilst everyone else around you scrolls on their phone, is what will keep you ahead, to kick start your 2026.

It’s the Golden Window for the extra 1-2% that many others miss out on. And those extra percent can make a big difference.

Really I’m just giving you a little bit of motivation, a few weeks in advance (so you have time to digest) to stay on top of things when the holiday becomes relaxed. I’m also writing this for myself, as I know I’ll need to kick myself into gear around that time too, haha.

Anyway let's keep it in mind Cracksters, so we can hit the ground running in 2026.

Happy jamming,

The Secret To Making Offset Cracks Work
Hey Cracksters, In today’s newsletter, I’m going to give you some tips on how to read offsets when crack climbing, depending on the size of the jam you are using. An offset is when one side of the crack protrudes further than the other. Offsets can work in your favour if you use them correctly, but they can become a massive disadvantage if you don’t understand how to handle them.   How to u...
Pakistan: What went wrong?
Hey Cracksters, I’ve recently just got back from an expedition to Pakistan—however, I shouldn’t be back this early. In fact, the rest of the team is still out there and still climbing as we speak! So, what happened? I actually ended up getting extremely altitude sick. So sick, in fact, that getting back down to lower altitudes became a real fight. There were definitely some things out of my con...
